This policy covers the apps and services built by Marcus BR Inc. ("we"), including
Bambi (the family-friendly restaurant map, web and iOS) and the
ibuildapp.ca website. It describes what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create a Bambi account we collect the
identifiers you sign up with: your name, phone number, or the identity provided by
Sign in with Apple.
Location. With your permission, Bambi uses your device location to
show family-friendly places near you. Location is used at request time and is not used
to build movement histories.
Content you contribute. Amenity confirmations, notes, votes, and
saved lists you create in Bambi are stored with your profile and, where the feature is
social by design (e.g., a confirmation on a public place), shown to other users.
Business communications on social platforms. When you message our
social accounts (e.g., @bambi.map on Instagram), we access those messages through the
platform's official APIs to respond and, where a business tells us about their amenities
(such as high chair availability), to update our venue listings.
How we use information
To operate the apps: showing nearby places, saving your lists, attributing your
contributions.
To keep venue information accurate, including confirmations received directly from
businesses.
To communicate with you when you contact us.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
We do not access private messages beyond the conversations you or a business have
with our accounts.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run our services: Supabase (database and
authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Google Maps Platform (place data and
photos), and Meta's platform APIs (managing our own Instagram presence). Each receives
only what is needed to provide its function.
Data retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your
account and associated personal data at any time by emailing
us. We honour verified requests
within 30 days. Contributions may be retained in anonymized form (no longer linked to
you) so community information like amenity confirmations stays useful.
Children
Our apps are made for parents and caregivers, not children. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and revise the date above.
